Children's Advocacy Centers of Mississippi Endowment Fund
Supporting child-centered, trauma-informed responses to abuse across Mississippi.
For more than 20 years, Children’s Advocacy Centers of Mississippi (CACM) has worked to improve how Mississippi responds to child abuse by creating a more coordinated, child-focused approach to care and investigation.
Through a statewide network of children’s advocacy centers, CACM brings together law enforcement, child protection services, medical and mental health professionals, prosecutors, and advocates to help children navigate abuse investigations in safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environments. At these centers, children can speak with specially trained forensic interviewers while receiving access to services designed to reduce additional trauma during the process.
The Children’s Advocacy Centers of Mississippi Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation for Mississippi helps provide long-term support for this work and the organization’s mission to revolutionize Mississippi’s response to child abuse through leadership, innovation, and education.
The fund also supports programs like the Child Advocacy Training Institute in Jackson, which prepares future professionals across Mississippi to better recognize, respond to, and prevent child maltreatment through hands-on, real-world training experiences.
Through this endowment, CACM is helping build a stronger, more prepared support system for Mississippi children and families for generations to come.
