About The Community Foundation for Mississippi

We are a trusted partner for communities across central and southwest Mississippi.

The Community Foundation for Mississippi was founded in 1994 to create a permanent, locally rooted home for charitable giving.

What started with a small group of visionaries and a handful of funds has grown into a foundation serving 22 counties across central and southwest Mississippi.

And through it all, we stay grounded in what matters most: the people and places we serve across the communities that make up our region.

In Mississippi, every county is served by a community foundation.

In 2017, these foundations came together to ensure no community would be without support, especially in times of crisis or disaster.
