What if there was a place where a simple idea could turn into something real?
That question helped inspire the creation of the Briarwood Arts Center — a growing community space in Jackson where people can gather, create, learn, and explore new possibilities together. From sewing workshops and music production to anime clubs, youth mentorship meetings, and nonprofit gatherings, BAC is building a place where creativity and community meet.
With the creation of the Briarwood Arts Foundation Fund at the Community Foundation for Mississippi, founder Stephen Brown is helping strengthen and expand the center’s day-to-day programming and community impact. The fund supports the ongoing mission and operations of BAC while helping create opportunities for people across the metro area to connect, learn, and grow together.
As Brown puts it, BAC is about building relationships, creating access, and making space for what the community needs most.
