The Briarwood Arts Center was created with a simple but powerful vision: to build a place where creativity, opportunity, and community come together under one roof.
Since opening, Briarwood has become a hub for connection and exploration, welcoming everyone from young creatives and entrepreneurs to community groups and families looking for a place to gather and grow. As the center continues to evolve alongside the needs of the community, founder Stephen Brown is also thinking about the future.
The Briarwood Arts Foundation Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation for Mississippi helps provide long-term support for the mission and operations of the Briarwood Arts Center. Designed to create lasting sustainability, the fund helps ensure BAC can continue serving as a welcoming and accessible creative space for years to come.
For Brown, the work has always been about more than programming. It’s about creating systems, relationships, and opportunities that help communities thrive — now and into the future.
