The Robert Malouf, Jr. Memorial Fund was established by Lee Malouf in memory of her son, Robert, who died from an accidental opioid overdose in 2017 at age 25.
After Robert’s death, Lee began learning more about substance use disorder, addiction and recovery, including the barriers many people face in accessing treatment, housing, transportation and other support. That experience led her to create the fund as a way to honor Robert’s life while helping others.
The fund supports grants related to substance use disorder, addiction and recovery, including efforts that help people access treatment, sober living, transportation and other resources that can support long-term recovery.
