JCARES Fund
Building a more coordinated approach to animal welfare in Jackson.
The JCARES Fund supports the work of the Jackson Cooperative for Animal Rescue, Education and Spay/Neuter, a collaborative effort focused on improving how Jackson responds to stray, neglected and abused animals.
JCARES brings together rescuers, advocates, community members and local leaders to develop practical solutions, including emergency rescue and crisis response, shelter support and rehabilitation, foster and adoption efforts, community education, responsible pet ownership and expanded spay and neuter services.
The initiative is also working with city leadership on longer-term needs, including ordinance reform and the development of a more coordinated animal shelter system. Support for the fund helps move these efforts forward and gives partners a way to invest in stronger, more sustainable animal welfare solutions for Jackson.
