Campbell Bulldog Fund
Supporting childhood cancer research while honoring the life, strength, and spirit of Campbell Dale.
The Dale Family
Every day, 43 children in the United States are diagnosed with cancer.
For Jill and David Dale, that reality became deeply personal in February 2014, when their son Campbell was diagnosed with Stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer. Over the next two years, Campbell endured extensive chemotherapy, radiation treatments, surgeries, and a clinical trial at St. Jude — all while continuing to show remarkable strength and joy throughout his journey.
In September 2015, Campbell passed away at just five years old.
Today, his legacy lives on through the Campbell Bulldog Fund at the Community Foundation for Mississippi, established by his family to support childhood cancer research and help raise awareness about pediatric cancer. The fund reflects the courage, spirit, and resilience Campbell showed throughout his life and creates a way for others to join in the fight for better treatments and, ultimately, cures.
Even during the hardest moments, Campbell continued to embrace life fully — from becoming a Bulldog for a Day at Mississippi State University to celebrating his Make-A-Wish trip to Disney World surrounded by the people who loved him most.
The Campbell Bulldog Fund honors that same spirit by helping create hope for children and families facing pediatric cancer today and in the future.
