Vicki's Books for Kids Fund
Putting new books into the hands of young readers.
Vicki’s Books for Kids Fund was created by Jennifer Boone, owner of Dixon Books in Natchez, in memory of her mother, Vicki Gates, a lifelong advocate for literacy.
The fund grew from Jennifer’s belief that access to books can shape a child’s confidence, curiosity and sense of possibility. Through the fund, new books can be provided to children through schools, classrooms and child-focused programs, helping remove barriers for young readers who may not otherwise have books of their own.
As the fund grows, Jennifer hopes it can support both individual classroom needs and larger literacy efforts while carrying forward her mother’s commitment to reading and education.
