Murrah Pleiades Literary and Visual Arts Fund
Helping Murrah High School students share their writing, art and creative work.
Students hold copies of Murrah Pleiades.
Pleiades is Murrah High School’s student literary and visual arts magazine, first published in 1954 and later revived by students and faculty after archival issues were rediscovered in 2013.
The magazine gives students a place to publish poetry, essays, short stories, drawings, photography and other visual art while gaining hands-on experience in writing, editing, design and magazine production. Recent issues have also received recognition from the Mississippi Scholastic Press Association.
The Murrah Pleiades Literary and Visual Arts Fund supports the printing, production and related costs of the magazine, helping ensure students can continue creating and publishing Pleiades without relying solely on annual fundraising.
