Mississippi Heritage Trust Dorothy Shaifer Fund
Helping preserve the historic places that tell Mississippi’s story.
Since 1992, the Mississippi Heritage Trust has worked with communities and preservation partners across the state to protect Mississippi’s architectural and cultural heritage.
Its work includes the 10 Most Endangered Historic Places in Mississippi program, preservation conferences and awards, advocacy, educational resources and hands-on efforts to save historic buildings and districts. Over the years, MHT has helped raise awareness of threatened places, supported preservation projects and worked with local, state and national partners to protect important pieces of Mississippi history.
The Mississippi Heritage Trust Dorothy Shaifer Fund supports this work and helps the organization continue preserving, promoting and advocating for historic places across Mississippi.
