The Mississippi Book Festival shares how its partnership with the Community Foundation for Mississippi has provided trusted support, stability and room to grow while helping the Festival bring readers, writers and communities together across the state.
Known as Mississippi’s Literary Lawn Party, the Mississippi Book Festival brings readers, writers, publishers and communities together for a free annual celebration of books and storytelling.
The festival features author panels and interviews, book signings, live music, local food, children’s and young adult activities and exhibitors from across the state. Its mission is to celebrate writing, reading and Mississippi’s literary heritage while connecting readers with contemporary authors.
The Mississippi Book Festival Fund supports the festival’s ongoing work and helps provide a charitable home for contributions that make the event possible each year. Support for the fund also helps the organization continue expanding its reach through programs and events in communities across Mississippi.
